I am deeply grieved to announce that we have become the one thing we strive to never be...Hotel guests from he@*!
When you travel with as many children as we do we always have to go above and beyond in keeping our room clean etc because everyone assumes that because you are traveling with so many children you will leave a path of destruction behind. The first thing we do when we get to a hotel or condo is put up all the things that can be broken. At the condos we bring our own tablecloth, a neat sheet for under the high chair, our own paper goods (why break theirs?), anything that might help us maintain some semblance of order. We do everything in our power to leave things in as good of shape as when we arrived. We've never had a complaint nor paid a fee for damages...but that may change:(
The aforementioned two year old for lease that hides his shoes in obscure places ( and will now be known as POD for Path Of Destruction) has already in the short span of our vacation: broken a lamp, broken two dishes, and colored in pen all over the faux leather sofa. POD scooted his crib (while he was in it) close enough to the door to unlock and open it. Fortunately POD cannot get out of the crib, or I'm not sure where we would have found him the next morning...probably playing in the river with a cougar or some other similarly dangerous place. I believe that POD thinks the entire condo association needs to hear his voice, because he uses it all all hours at full power. ShhhhhHHHHHHH means nothing to this child. So if you happen to be staying at the Condos this week and see someone doing a Michael Jackson with a child over the balcony, that would be me shaking my child down for the money to fix something else at the condo...and the laughing child will be an adorable two year old, whose cuteness has saved his life on more than one occasion :)
