Thank Heavens for Good Neighbors!

I've learned in my life that the only time you want the phone to ring at 3:45 am is if you are awaiting the imminent birth of a baby. As this is not the case, I was very concerned when our phone rang at such time Friday morning. Jim answered and our neighbor, ReNae was on the other end. She apologized for calling so early, but had been on her way to work, and noticed that our garage was open and some kids were inside. She slowed down to see better and they ran away, but she was afraid they might come back...and the garage was still open. Jim thanked her and we headed out to investigate. As we walked out we heard her husband take off in his truck- turns out he was out looking for them.
Fortunately she had frightened them off, nothing was missing, and after another sleepless hour or so, we were able to drift off to sleep. Our huge thanks to them for being the kind of neighbors we all should be!
